The original Hall was built by Thomas Norton towards the end of the 17th century, and it has served as the home for many notable figures. During the war it was used as a convalescent home for oversea troops, and has even been a school providing adult education. In 2015 it was bought by Valeria Sykes and underwent extensive repairs and refurbishment at the cost of millions before opening to the public in the second half of 2019.
We were approached for our bespoke capabilities and were asked to work on many areas of the venue to ensure that the clients high-end specification was met.
Our Involvement…
For Bar & Restaurant Eighty-Eight, one of the halls exclusive dining spaces, serving a unique fusion of Yorkshire produce and Asian flavours, split over to floors. We created bespoke bar stools and matching bespoke chairs, with bold brass frames and sumptuous velvet upholstery. Complementing this is the fixed seating that dominates the central space on the lower floor with it curved, split-level back detail and the private booth style seating located around the rooms parameter, finished in the same teal upholstery and with brass detailing. Table tops were also produced to match the timber used on the fixed seating with detailed brass inlays to tie the whole design scheme together.
