PARTNERS OF THE SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION

The SRA (Sustainable Restaurant Association) is a community of food-service businesses, suppliers and discerning diners working together to create a sustainable food-service industry for people and planet. Hill Cross Furniture are proud to partner with this amazing organisation and are listed as the only sustainable contract furniture supplier in the trusted suppliers list.

Every year the SRA host the ‘Food Made Good’ award, that celebrates the success and achievements of the members of the group. We were delighted to attend the event back in November and it is firmly on the calendar for this year.

As one of our key values, we are actively working and developing our offering of sustainable contract furniture options. We can produce 100% sustainable banquette seating and are working with our suppliers to offer a range of loose furniture that incorporates various sustainable materials, from FSC timber to recycled metal frames.

We work with a number of fabric houses who offer sustainable, such as Camira’s new range – Yoredale, produced exclusively from the wool of the Swaledale sheep that a farmed in our local area of the Yorkshire Dales. Along with many ranges of materials produced from natural, renewable sources and innovative materials produced from recycled consumer plastics.

Along with fabrics, we also work alongside low carbon UK leather producers to offer a more environmentally friendly leather option. Other alternatives include Sileather, a leather substitute made from Silicone and the production is safer and cleaner than PVC leathers.

Everyone has a role to play. Whether you’re a food service business seeking to overcome challenges, a supplier who can provide the solutions, or a diner seeking to make better choices when eating out. Including sustainability in a design is key to influencing drastic change within the industry, and we are fully on-board.

We work globally with clients and pride ourselves on our ability to provide a five star project managed service.
