NEW: the Nolita range

New for 2015, the Nolita range is perfect to furnish modern outdoor spaces ready for the predicted hottest UK summer on record in many years.

Mario Pedrali first designed metal outdoor chairs over fifty years ago in 1963 for the people of Italy to relax and enjoy their surroundings. The new Nolita collection, unveiled at the Salone del Mobile in April, is a celebration of simplicity and the designs pay homage to the incredible success of Pedrali, the hugely successful premium-hospitality furniture brand.  The name for the new range, Nolita, comes from the name of the borough in Manhattan north of Little Italy.

The range was designed by the award winning partnership of Simone Mandelli & Antonio Pagliarulo, who won the Good Design Award 2012 and the Red Dot Design Award 2013.

Looking at the chairs and bar stool, which are available in a host of bright and modern colours: white, yellow, orange, red, terracotta, light blue, anthracite grey and sage green, one is reminded of a sunny terrace or perhaps a holiday memory from years passed. The timeless style of the designs completely made of steel, would be at home in any lively square or bistro.

We sampled the chairs first-hand at the Milan show last month and they were stunning in person, very robust and colourful, we are expecting many orders from our customers for the range in the coming months - the chairs are available in two heights and with arms, all are stackable and are as comfortable as they are stylish.

The Hill Cross team are busy at the moment submitting orders to our network of Italian factories for orders to be delivered before the summer shutdown that occurs in the full month of August. The last date we suggest for submitting orders is the 12th of June to ensure we can get your goods to you before the end of July. This summer is a good time to invest in your outdoor space as it is predicted to be one of the hottest summers on record. The Met Office recently released its three month forecast for June-August and experts are warning that the UK is looking to enjoy hotter than normal temperatures over the next few months, along with below average rainfall.
