PRECIOUS METALS: AUTHENTIC FINISHES FOR MODERN VENUES

The well established trend of industrial styled furniture for hospitality interiors has spawn many sought after finishes for contract-furnishings; amongst these is the trend of natural or ‘precious’ metals such as iron, brass, copper and even ‘rust’.

With today’s restaurants and bars seeking an interior which echoes the provenance and quality of their food and drink, metal finishes, which are hard wearing, natural and pleasing to the eye, offer an authentic look for modern venues.

Many of Hill Cross Furniture’s hand-selected range of contract-grade products are available with these ‘precious’ metal finishes.

Pedrali, one of the most well respected contract furniture brands from Italy were fast to expand their range to embrace the trend, as part of their ‘New Vintage’ finish range. As well as a host of distressed leathers and oak finishes they have devised a selection of galvanic treatments popular for their best-selling steel table bases, to get antique brass, antique copper, antique bronze and a ‘corten’ effect finish. Many of their classic contract dining chair frames are available in vintage metal finishes too, with one example being the Babila, with a 10mm diameter steel sled base now available in rust for a stunningly modern looking and functioning chair.

The Nicky is a new chair in the Hill Cross range, the angular supporting steel tubular frame can be finished in a stunning rustic copper as shown (or black or a lacquered clear on steel as standard) which produces a rich and opulent aesthetic.
